
Fees and financial support for ITT
Tuition Fees
The current tuition fee for our PGCE for 2010/2011 is £2,950 for UK students. This payble at two points during your course.
To cover the cost of tuition fees, eligible students may be able to get a tuition fee loan of up to £3,290, which you will start to pay back when you have finished yor course, are in work and earning £15,000 or more.
Training Bursaries
You may be entitled to a tax-free bursary from the TDA, depending on the subject you are studying. Training bursaries are paid by the SCITT.
Currently the bursaries are:

Golden Hellos
If you take up a permanent NQT position in the subject you trained in, you may be eligible to receive a one-off payment of £2,500-£5,000 from the TDA. This is dependent upon the subject and applies to postgraduate routes only and does not apply to those qualifying through the GTP or RTP. It is paid at the start of your second year of teaching, after you have successfully completed your induction period.
Maintenance Grant
UK students may be eligible for a Maintenance Grant of up to £2,906 (£1,106 of which is non-means tested).
Student Loan for Maintenance
UK students may be eligible for a Student Loan for Maintenance to help twoards accommodation and other living costs, depending on living arrangements, household income and size of the Mainenance Loan applied for. A proportion is non-means tested, with the remainder being income-assessed.
